Abstrak

PT. Kota Mas Permai is a company engaged in the distribution of consumer goods, especially for light food products such as chocolate, wafers, biscuits, and so on. At present, the company has implemented a promotional system to increase the sales turnover of its products. However, the company's management cannot know the effect of the promotion system of each product on the sales turnover of these products. To solve these problems, a decision support system method can be applied. In the literature, various types of SPK methods can be found that can be applied in supporting decision-making processes, some of which are the Iterative Dichotomizer 3 (ID3) method and the C4.5 classification algorithm. This study aims to develop a system for determining the effect of promotion on sales revenue. The tools used to carry out analysis and design are data flow diagrams. Whereas, the programming language used to design the system is the VB.NET language and database using the SQL Server application as a database engine. The results of this study are computerized decision support systems that can be used to determine the effect of promotions on total amount of sales of each type of goods sold by the company.
